The "Take The Reins" programme has now delivered everything it promised, although it's still technically scheduled to last until the end of September, and many in-the-know fans are predicting some kind of big news to round off the season. My favourite this time has to be that Morgyn Ember - The Sims' first confirmed canonically non-binary character, who arrived with 2019's Realm of Magic add-on - should now take proper advantage of last year's pronouns update to go by They/Them in game.Īlong with July's Horse Ranch expansion pack, the announcement of these latest two kits marks the last of the paid DLC planned for The Sims 4's Summer 2023 lineup. The update is rounded off as ever by a slew of other minor fixes and tweaks. Previously, kits were all lumped in under a single toggle, an encumbrance not suffered by other pack types. The patch's other significant addition is to Build/Buy mode, allowing you at long last to select each kit individually when filtering items according to the DLC pack they come from. The Gallery has now been returned to full functionality after being thoroughly gutted for long-term maintenance a few months ago, meaning that you can now browse other players' creations with a greatly more accurate search function, among other improved features. The news was accompanied by the release of the historic-sounding Patch 150, which - while more low-key than many players had anticipated, given its proximity to the game's anniversary - brought with it a number of heavily requested features. The item count means that both new releases are on the larger side as far as kits go, for whatever that's worth. Modern Luxe, meanwhile, is a Build/Buy pack themed around "statement" bedrooms and living rooms, and will contain 28 new items. Poolside Splash will feature 29 new swimwear themed Create-A-Sim items, including cosmetic flotation devices and a surprising number of outfits for kids (more than zero is surprising in a pack not aimed at that life stage, after all). The Poolside Splash and Modern Luxe kits are releasing very soon - in fact, they're due out tomorrow at the time of writing. While the hotly anticipated birthday reveal of an "unexpected surprise" still hasn't materialised, the event was marked by the official announcement of the game's next two mini DLC packs. The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 both had a roughly four-and-a-half year lifespan, so their most recent successor has officially worn the current-gen crown for twice as long as either of them ever got to or, looked at another way, is now as old as both of its immediate predecessors combined. The Sims 4 turned nine years old this weekend, and while that might not seem like such a big milestone, it is in fact fairly noteworthy if you know your franchise history.

I asked to speak to a person, then it hung up on me. I called for support and only got a computer that said my speed is good and offered to text me the link to the self-test (which I already did). It's also possible that the ONT itself is bad based on reports from last year that AT&T had identified a bad batch of them. You'll have to call the 80 number and they'll need to roll a truck for service. I've contacted AT&T, a technician was supposed to come today but he didn't show up. The LED status you describe indicates that there's a problem with the fiber line itself. The message on my browser reads: 'Gateway Authentication Failure. I have run the self-tests on the AT&T site. The red alarm light on my AT&T ONT box is on and there is no internet. (The Data light appears green in the photo, but it is really flickering green/yellow) The little white box between the router and the internet shows the following - power green, PON off, alarm red, data amber. automated troubleshooting says theres a problem and I need to talk to someone, but I cant reach anyong. This gateway does not come off the wall easily to get it's model number, so here is a photo. Fiber internet - PON light off, Alarm light red. Power, Broadband 1 and Service lights are solid green. I have reset the WIFI ATT U-verse box multiple times. The Data light, multiple times, flashes red, then green, then goes yellow or flickers yellow/green. During the gateway start-up routine, the Alarm light goes red for a couple of seconds twice, then stays off. I have powered off the gateway several times. The Power light and PON lights are solid green. The Data light alternates between solid yellow and rapid flickering green/yellow. The gateway, where the fiber comes into the room, has 4 lights: Power, Alarm, Data and ?PON?. Tell the tech to check the fiber from the house back to the neighborhood box. My questions: How sensitive is the fiber I am going to be having this issue a lot I work from home and need a solid working connection so I am already thinking of converting to non fiber. You get a red alarm light after the last ONT replacement Schedule another visit. So ATT has to send a tech out which will take two days. Also my laptop intermittently loses its signal. Next day my internet connection is dead and I find the Alarm light Red on the fiber in home unit. In my experience the tech will resolve about 95% of trouble with 5% chance that another tech will be needed likely on a different (future) day.Over the past month or so, I am having intermittent loss of Facebook Messenger live audio/visual communication. if issue is pulled connection at PFP, drop, inside wiring, or ONT the tech should be able to resolve. If good light at PFP but poor or none at the fiber terminal is creating a work order for outside plant tech to find and repair. Please confirm: Did I understand all your issues correctly A yes or no response is very important, so it will be highly appreciated. (To unblock please use the JAVASCRIPT recaptcha - which should appear above. You want our advice and guidance so you can get your service back again. This IP address 52.167.144.125 has been blocked for unusual usage patterns. If that keeps happening though, Id recommend calling in and getting a tech out there to. Glad you got it working again by restarting it. It means the ONT was not seeing fiber light. * damaged fiber drop from animal(s) or human cutting the fiber from digging, or nature (storms, tree limbs, etc)įor a tech the 4 main points of checking light with a light meter and or ruby red is the ONT, the fiber NID (if installed), fiber terminal, PFP. You own and operate a Fiber Optics service contract with AT&T Uverse. Orange data is normal (if youre on 100mbps or above) If you dropped down to 50mbps, your data light would be green. * if have fiber NID, issue with either fiber end or coupler including ants in the NID The white box they install on the wall which then connects to the router has started to display a red ALARM light and subtle red DATA light. * faulty ONT requiring replacement, this would be the step if fiber light is good at ONT but not detected by ONT. This box has what appears to be an optical cable and an ethernet cable going to it. Call or use the my att app to get a tech to come fix it. The internet or the TVs stopped working and a red 'alarm' light was blinking in the small white box inside the house. After one month, they eventually came to bury the cable. There are many possible causes for RED ALARM light including LOW light condition which is more common with bad SC connection. ATT fiber optic box (3-4 feet, 6' diameter cylindrical object) is in our backyard. There were no international games in 2020 due to the pandemic and the Jags played Miami at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this past season. Jacksonville played a game at Wembley for seven straight seasons from 2013-2019. It is known the Jaguars will host another game in London as they always do, and it will be at Wembley Stadium. Then again, eight other clubs were given marketing rights in Mexico as well. The Chiefs also got rights in Mexico so they could perhaps play in that game instead – no team is going to be forced to play two international games. Germany did host five preseason games between 1990-1994 and also had teams in the World League of American Football, NFL Europe and NFL Europa. Allianz Arena in Munich, home of Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, will host in 2022 and Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt will in 2023. The NFL had been deciding between Munich, Frankfurt and Dusseldorf for its first German and mainland Europe regular-season matchup. Prior to signing Johnson, the Patriots employed German-born Sebastian Vollmer from 2009-16. There are a few German players currently in the NFL, including Patriots fullback Jakob Johnson, although his contract is up. The NFL said in a statement that it would ensure franchises play in their designated international markets "where possible." Of course, the Bucs and Panthers play each other twice every season, so that could be the easiest solution is shipping one of those games to Munich. In December, the NFL announced that 18 teams had been granted access to 26 international markets for the purpose of "marketing, fan engagement and commercialization." Home marketing area rights in Germany were granted to Kansas City, New England, Tampa Bay and Carolina. While we won't officially know the teams for several weeks, expect the Patriots, Chiefs, Buccaneers or Panthers to be (at least) one of them. On Wednesday ahead of Super Bowl 56, the NFL announced that it will play five international games next regular season: three in London, one in Mexico and a first-ever regular-season game in Germany, specifically Munich. Are premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) life threatening? There may also be some increased risk of stroke because of blood clots that can form in association with atrial fibrillation. Patients can be in atrial fibrillation for many years without harm, but some patients with very little symptoms may have too rapid and irregular a rhythm present with symptoms of heart failure. We see heart enlargment with a very common cause of palpitations called atrial fibrillation. Patients with a very rapid heart over a long period of time do run a risk of developing enlargement and failure of the heart. The irregularity of the heart rhythm per se usually does no damage to the heart itself. What are the health risks of experiencing heart palpitations? If a patient has known heart disease such as a previous myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure (CHF), hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), and others, the symptoms of palpitations will require a thorough evaluation. In general, the more serious the symptoms, such as lightheadedness, loss of consciousness, chest pain, shortness of breath, the more seriously one needs to take the problem. That usually indicates that the irregularity of the heart rhythm is significant and may signal the need for a more comprehensive evaluation. Heart palpitations can certainly be associated with shortness of breath, that is, the two symptoms together without a serious condition being present. Could heart palpitations accompanied by shortness of breath be serious? Some patients may require invasive studies if a serious heart condition is suspected to underlie the symptom of palpitations. That type of evaluation might well involve an ultrasound of the heart, a treadmill test, more sophisticated blood tests including thyroid tests, and an ambulatory EKG or Holter monitor. If the patient's symptoms are more severe, such as significant lightheadedness or loss of consciousness associated with palpitations, a more comprehensive evaluation is warranted. Diagnosing heart palpitations with severe symptoms In most cases, palpitations have a very benign origin, and nothing more than a thorough history and physical examination, an ECG, and perhaps some basic blood lab work is needed. In terms of laboratory studies, those will be determined by the overall condition and the findings of the physical exam. This is followed by a thorough physical examination focusing on the heart and lungs. The evaluation usually starts like any other complaint, with a good history focused on things like the types of food, beverages, and over-the-counter medications. How does the physician evaluate palpitations? Some over-the-counter medications such as cold and allergy remedies that contain decongestants (pseudoephedrine) often can precipitate palpitations.įrequently, palpitations occur without any obvious precipitating factor, although fatigue, stress, and lack of sleep also cause palpitations to occur or worsen. Some patients complain of palpitations when they eat too much chocolate, and some patients respond with palpitations around the holiday when they tend to drink too much alcohol. Frequently reducing or eliminating beverages that contain caffeine such as coffee or soda can improve palpitations. Some people are sensitive to any amount of stimulant, but we began to see more caffeine-related palpitations when espresso-based drinks like cappuccinos and lattes became popular in the 1990s. Can something I eat or drink cause heart palpitations?Ī common substance associated with palpitations is caffeine. Occasionally palpitations can be perceived in unusual ways including a general sense of uneasiness, and, rarely, palpitations are associated with lightheadedness or even loss of consciousness. A perception of irregularity of the pulse, an uneasiness in the chest, a flip-flopping in the chest frequently people describe their palpitations as "my heart stops." Certainly a feeling of strong pulse throughout the chest, head, and neck could well be described as a palpitation. The potential consequences for staff and patients are severe. The patterns identified by these studies consistently show that adverse job characteristics-high workload, low staffing levels, long shifts, and low control-are associated with burnout in nursing. Among the outcomes of burnout, we found reduced job performance, poor quality of care, poor patient safety, adverse events, patient negative experience, medication errors, infections, patient falls, and intention to leave. Other factors that were classified as predictors of burnout in the nursing literature were low/inadequate nurse staffing levels, ≥ 12-h shifts, low schedule flexibility, time pressure, high job and psychological demands, low task variety, role conflict, low autonomy, negative nurse-physician relationship, poor supervisor/leader support, poor leadership, negative team relationship, and job insecurity. Maslach suggested that turnover, sickness absence, and general health were effects of burnout however, we identified relationships only with general health and sickness absence. As hypothesised by Maslach, we identified high workload, value incongruence, low control over the job, low decision latitude, poor social climate/social support, and low rewards as predictors of burnout. The majority (n = 87) were cross-sectional studies 39 studies used all three subscales of the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) Scale to measure burnout. We included quantitative primary empirical studies (published in English) which examined associations between burnout and work-related factors in the nursing workforce. We searched MEDLINE, CINAHL, and PsycINFO. We aimed to provide a comprehensive summary of research that examines theorised relationships between burnout and other variables, in order to determine what is known (and not known) about the causes and consequences of burnout in nursing, and how this relates to theories of burnout. Yet, burnout itself-what constitutes it, what factors contribute to its development, and what the wider consequences are for individuals, organisations, or their patients-is rarely made explicit. Workforce studies often identify burnout as a nursing 'outcome'. For example, an oxygen atom has 8 protons and an iron atom has 26 protons. This number of protons is called the Atomic Number for the element. Matter is composed of elements which are atoms that have a specific number of protons in the nucleus. The mass of an electron is less than 1/1000 th that of a proton or neutron, meaning most of the atom’s mass is in the nucleus. Protons and neutrons each have a mass number of 1. A cloud of negatively charged electrons surrounds the nucleus, the number of electrons equaling the number of protons thus balancing the positive charge of the protons for a neutral atom. A simple model of the atom has a central nucleus composed of protons, which have positive charges, and neutrons which have no charge. Atoms consists of subatomic particles- protons, neutrons, and electrons. 3.1.1 The Atom Electron cloud model of the atom To understand mineral chemistry, it is essential to examine the fundamental unit of all matter, the atom. Rocks are composed of minerals that have a specific chemical composition. As is discussed in later chapters, there are three types of rocks composed of minerals: igneous (rocks crystallizing from molten material), sedimentary (rocks composed of products of mechanical weathering (sand, gravel, etc.) and chemical weathering (things precipitated from solution), and metamorphic (rocks produced by alteration of other rocks by heat and pressure. Typically, substances like coal, pearl, opal, or obsidian that do not fit the definition of mineral are called mineraloids.Ī rock is a substance that contains one or more minerals or mineraloids. But once that clam shell undergoes burial, diagenesis, or other geological processes, then the calcite is considered a mineral. Because of these discrepancies, the International Mineralogical Association in 1985 amended the definition to: “A mineral is an element or chemical compound that is normally crystalline and that has been formed as a result of geological processes.” This means that the calcite in the shell of a clam is not considered a mineral. Calcite is quite often formed by organic processes, but is considered a mineral because it is widely found and geologically important. Both are considered minerals because they were classified before the room-temperature rule was accepted as part of the definition. For example, water and mercury are liquid at room temperature. Some natural substances technically should not be considered minerals, but are included by exception. In geology, the classic definition of a mineral is: 1) naturally occurring, 2) inorganic, 3) solid at room temperature, 4) regular crystal structure, and 5) defined chemical composition. The term “minerals” as used in nutrition labels and pharmaceutical products is not the same as a mineral in a geological sense. Identify minerals using physical properties and identification tables.List common non-silicate minerals in oxide, sulfide, sulfate, and carbonate groups.Describe the silicon-oxygen tetrahedron and how it forms common silicate minerals.Describe chemical bonding related to minerals.Derive basic atomic information from the Periodic Table of Elements.Describe the basic structure of the atom. The largest crystal found here is 39 feet (12 meters) and 55 tones.Īt the end of this chapter, students should be able to: These selenite (gypsum) crystals, found in The Cave of the Crystals in Naica, Mexico, has some of the largest minerals ever found. The ions are atoms that have gained one or more electrons (known as anions, which are negatively charged) and atoms that have lost one or more electrons (known as cations, which are positively charged).Ī covalent bond, also called a molecular bond, is a chemical bond that involves the sharing of electron pairs between atoms. These electron pairs are known as shared pairs or bonding pairs, and the stable balance of attractive and repulsive forces between atoms, when they share electrons, is known as covalent bonding. Ionic bonding is a type of chemical bond that involves the electrostatic attraction between oppositely charged ions, and is the primary interaction occurring in ionic compounds. What is chemical bond, ionic bond, covalent bond?Ī chemical bond is a lasting attraction between atoms, ions or molecules that enables the formation of chemical compounds. The bond may result from the electrostatic force of attraction between oppositely charged ions as in ionic bonds or through the sharing of electrons as in covalent bonds. Question: Is calcium carbonate an ionic or covalent bond ?Īnswer: calcium carbonate ( CaCO3 ) is a Containing both (ionic and covalent) Kosh ships are weak to frigates and cruisers.Akee ships are weak to frigates and cruisers.Church ships are weak to drones and prototype squadrons with Atemporal Engine.Scrappers are weak to fighters and cruisers.Your squadrons can heal at the same time and you can redeploy the right counter squadron.
